What this site does
- Shows live reference prices for 24K gold and other purities, per gram, tola, ounce and kilo, in AED and USD.
- Values every common bar and coin at today’s spot price.
- Explains the market: how premiums and margins work, which documents are required, how VAT applies.
- Offers tools: a gold value calculator and a price chart.
It does not sell or buy gold, take orders or hold anyone’s money.
How prices are calculated
| Step | Calculation |
|---|---|
| 1. Spot price | International price of gold in USD per troy ounce |
| 2. Convert to AED | × 3.6725 (fixed peg of the dirham to the dollar) |
| 3. Price per gram | ÷ 31.1035 grams per troy ounce |
| 4. Purity | × fineness (0.9999 for 999.9 gold, 0.9167 for 22K…) |
| 5. Weight | × weight of the bar or coin in grams |
The result is the value of the gold content. It is the right reference for comparing any dealer’s buying or selling price.
Limits of the data
- Prices are references, not offers. Dealers’ prices include their premiums and margins.
- The spot price moves continuously; a short delay is normal.
- When the international market is closed, the last available price is displayed.
- The price chart uses daily closing prices and shows a trend, not a forecast.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the prices come from?
From the international gold spot price in US dollars per troy ounce, supplied by public market data sources. The site converts it to AED at the fixed rate of 3.6725.
Are these the prices I will pay or receive?
No. They are the value of the gold content. Dealers add a premium when they sell and deduct a margin when they buy.
How often are prices updated?
About every minute while a page is open. At weekends, when the market is closed, the last price is shown with its time.
Does this site recommend dealers?
No. It explains how to compare offers and what to check, so you can judge any dealer yourself.
