Which gold coins are 24K?
The Maple Leaf, Vienna Philharmonic and modern Britannia are 999.9 (24K). The Krugerrand, American Gold Eagle and sovereign are 22K (916.7), alloyed for durability, but still contain their full stated gold weight.
Are 1 gram gold coins available?
Some mints and refiners make 1 g and other small coins. For very small amounts, a 1 gram gold bar usually carries a lower premium.
What is the 8 gm gold coin rate in Dubai?
An 8 g 24K coin contains 8 g of gold, so its gold value is 8 times the live gram price on the gold rate page, plus the coin’s premium.
What about commemorative coins?
Commemorative and collector coins are priced on rarity and condition as well as gold, which is a different market from bullion coins.
Coins or bars: which is better for investment?
Bars usually cost less per gram. Coins are recognisable worldwide and come in small units. Many buyers hold both.
Is VAT charged on gold coins in the UAE?
Zero-rating applies to investment gold of at least 99% purity, so 24K coins can qualify. 22K coins are below that threshold and are generally charged VAT; ask the dealer whether the price includes it.
