PAMP Suisse

PAMP is based in Ticino, Switzerland. Its minted bars carry the “Lady Fortuna” design on one side and come sealed in a certificate card showing the weight, fineness and serial number. Recent PAMP bars also feature a surface-recognition system the brand uses to verify individual bars.

PAMP bars are among the easiest to resell in Dubai and abroad.

Valcambi

Valcambi is also based in Ticino. Besides classic cast and minted bars, it is known for the CombiBar: a thin 50 g or 100 g plate scored into 1 g pieces that you can snap apart. It suits buyers who want to divide their gold later, for gifts or partial sales.

Swiss gold bar makers and LBMA-accredited refiners

Argor-Heraeus (Mendrisio) and Metalor (Neuchâtel) complete the group of large Swiss refiners. Bars from refiners on the LBMA Good Delivery list, and from refiners approved under the UAE Good Delivery standard, are trusted by the professional market.

How to check authenticity

  1. Read the stamp. Refiner mark, weight, fineness (999.9) and serial number must all be present and crisp.
  2. Match the serial number with the certificate card and the invoice.
  3. Check the card. On sealed bars, the card should be intact, without signs of opening.
  4. Weigh and measure. A precise scale and the refiner’s published dimensions reveal most fakes.
  5. Test the metal. XRF analysis, ultrasound or conductivity testers confirm what is inside without damaging the bar.

Frequently asked questions

Why are so many gold bars Swiss?

Several of the world’s largest gold refiners are based in Switzerland, most of them in the canton of Ticino near the Italian border. Their bars are accepted by dealers and banks everywhere.

What is the PAMP gold price?

A PAMP bar is priced from the live gold value of its weight plus a premium. Minted PAMP bars often carry a slightly higher premium than plain cast bars.

Is a 100g PAMP gold bar easy to resell in Dubai?

Yes. PAMP is one of the most recognised brands, and a sealed certificate card makes verification quick.

Are UAE-made gold bars as good as Swiss bars?

Bars from refiners that meet the UAE Good Delivery or LBMA standards are widely accepted. In Dubai, local brands are very liquid; Swiss brands can be easier to sell outside the region.

How can I tell if a gold bar is fake?

Check the brand marks, weight, dimensions and serial number against the certificate. Professional testing (XRF, ultrasound or conductivity) confirms the metal. Buy only from established dealers.
